Winconsin News: court election too close to call amid anger over union rights law

- The competition between a conservative-leaning Wisconsin Supreme Court justice & little known competitor fueled by a wave of emotion over the state's dissentious new union the legal law was too near to call early in Wednesday morning.

Unofficial back from Tuesday's election appeared Justice David Prosser and his opponent, JoAnne Kloppenburg, were separated by a fewer than 1,900 voices with 98 % of precincts reporting. The Competition was close enough that a recount Showed likely.

Under Wisconsin election law, a applicants has 3 days after the official results have been tallied to request a recount.

The applicant must specify a reason for the demand, such as a belief a trouble was made in the counting or some other irregularity.

An advise state attorney general, Kloppenburg began her campaign with almost no name recognition and meet what looked like an uphill fight against Prosser.

But her campaign has surged in recent days as her supporters worked to concentrate anger over Republican Gov.
